Lauroux Confiance 2000Vinified in 2003 following an exceptional harvest, this full-bodied red was aged in oak for 6 months before being bottled.

We are delighted to offer this hefty, smoky assemblage of Merlot, Cabernet-Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Tannat grapes from some of the oldest vines on the Domaine. 

The ripe fruit and dense colour give our Cuvee Confiance that "something special" quality. 

Best enjoyed with rich foods such as stews, wild boar, venison and other hearty meat dishes.

At Domaine de Lauroux, our ethos of minimal chemical intervention coupled with biodynamically-approved treatments and traditional growing methods produces clean, fresh, well-balanced wines.  Filtration is carried out using bentonite and diatomeous earth - a form of clay; rather than chemicals. 

Fermentation uses naturally-occurring yeasts, supplemented only when absolutely necessary.  During fermentation our wines are closely monitored and analysed twice-daily.  Sulphites, used to prevent the wines from oxidising, are kept to a minimum by frequent testing and levels are only adjusted if essential.  Our wines are made without using animal by-products, making them suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
