The location of Domaine de Lauroux, in the heart of the idyllic Gascony countryside makes it the perfect holiday destination for anyone wanting to experience the "real" France. 

Gascony refers to ancient territories in South West France which ceased to exist after the French Revolution and cannot be found on modern day maps. 

This is a calm and peaceful place, its landscape characterised by its valleys, rivers and its agricultural heritage. There are no motorways and very little commercialism outside the main cities and towns such as Toulouse, Auch and Pau.

Visitors to Gascony are swifly immersed in this unspoiled haven where life moves slowly and the locals are constantly pre-occupied with the weather and what is today's "plat du jour" at the local restaurant.
