Domaine de Lauroux Our Vineyard

Lauroux Rosé 2007

Vin de Pays des Côtes de Gascogne Rosé 2006 - 12% abv

Lauroux Rosé 2006 is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes.

At Domaine de Lauroux, our ethos of minimal chemical intervention coupled with biodynamically-approved treatments and traditional growing methods produces clean, fresh, well-balanced wines.  Filtration is carried out using bentonite and diatomeous earth - a form of clay; rather than chemicals.

Fermentation uses naturally-occurring yeasts, supplemented only when absolutely necessary.  During fermentation our wines are closely monitored and analysed twice-daily.  Sulphites, used to prevent the wines from oxidising, are kept to a minimum by frequent testing and levels are only adjusted if essential.  Our wines are made without using animal by-products, making them suitable for vegans and vegetarians. After a brief cold-maceration, the grape juice is vinifed at a low temperature to maintain all the fresh, fruity aromas whilst ensuring a sufficiently robust flavour.

The gorgeously rich cranberry colour is strong and inviting, the nost is full, fresh and clean and the rush of luscious raspberries and strawberries to the palette is truly summer in a bottle

This wine is remarkably good with grilled meats, barbeques and salads.

With its delightfully fruity and moreish flavour, our rosé 2005 should be drunk young and served well chilled.
